DATA FIG Meeting 3 Thursday, 5/25/23

We continued delivering Student and Faculty survey during tentative time: June 1 – 21. This semester, we have added a block of questions regarding ChatGPT. I have included the links below as well as the added questions in the text below.  If you have any comments or suggestions, please feel free to respond.

Our first session this semester was an introduction on the benefits and uses of Qualtrics. Our next meeting was Thursday, May 25th at 9:10am. During this meeting we made final changes to the questions.

DATA FIG Meeting 1 Thursday, 4/27/23

The sessions showed how to create surveys using Qualtrics. We started a new blank project and showed the varous types and format of questions, how to create quantitative questions and when to use open ended questions, how to review the work, update the flow, edit the design, etc. Lastly, the facilitator showed how to publish and deliver the survey. Other examples were used to show how the data looks and what type of data reports qualtrics makes available. Next session, we will look in more detail how data is analyzed and disaggregated using data from prior surveys.

This session included a discussion on student survey and preparing for the student survey to be ran in December 2022.  Attached is a summary for the most recent data collected in Spring 2022 and its comparison with prior semesters (colored slides are not updated for Spring 22, but do provide prior semesters’ analysis). Based on what we observed from this analysis and other questions we might consider interesting to inquire, please review and make any suggestions for the next student survey that is expected to be delivered on Dec 5th. This session included a discussion on faculty and student survey and comparing them among themselves and across time. Two surveys were administered in Spring 2022: 1) Student Survey, and 2) Faculty Survey. In addition to the analysis, a comparison with prior surveys was made. Attached is the summary results and graphs.

Notes from Meeting 3 of Fall 2021 (November 16, 2021 11:30am -12:30pm)

During this meeting, we will finalized the updated Student Survey delivered during December 2021 and have a better understanding of students’ experience and challenges with remote learning during Fall 2021. Attached is the final survey for Fall 2021.

During this meeting, we reviewed the latest Student Survey delivered in Spring 2021 and discussed the changes and edits to be made for the updated survey expected to be delivered during December 2021. Some items discussed were:

•Consider edits or deletion of Q10 (Keep 11 instead)
•Consider edits or deletion Q 12 & 13 on HyFlex
•Consider edits or deletion Q 14 – Q16
•Add a question on enrollment status
